Direct to Film printing -or DTF, as it’s widely known - is a cutting-edge technique revolutionising custom apparel. DTF allows vibrant, full-color designs to be printed onto virtually any fabric and is ideal for short runs or for any job that require multiple colours or fades. With this digital method, the design is printed onto a special film, which is then powder coated with a fine, dry bonding adhesive. The print is then trasnferred onto a garment using a specialist heat press, which presses both heat and immense weight onto the garment, forming bonding between print and garment. This technique offers vibrant, detailed prints on various fabrics, including dark colors, and is known for its durability and versatility. DTF is a popular alternative to traditional screen printing, especially for smaller production runs, and doesn't require screens or chemicals.
